At this reading group meeting we will be discussing a new collection of essays based on research by Michael Knapp, Anja Flach and Ercan Ayboga on the the democratic experiment in the predominantly Kurdish region of northern Syria.
There has been a lot of interest in the struggle against IS and for Democratic Autonomy and women’s liberation by a coalition of forces in the north. We will be exploring the values and concepts advocated, looking at the structures put in place and comparing results to stated aims.
Our reading group is open to all.
