About every six weeks a group of mainly West Mids IWW members meet to discuss a text which interests us, in the spirit of worker self-education. The next topic will be Bookchin’s concept of ‘libertarian municipalism’, which has influenced Abdullah Öcalan’s ‘democratic confederalism’, currently being practised in Rojava. We’ll be reading the last chapter from a book on the subject. There’s a pdf of that chapter here.
On January 18th we will be discussing the text ‘Democratic Confederalism’ by Abdullah Ocalan, which you can download for free from the Peace in Kurdistan Campaign’s website here.
