IWW members are now invited to register for Organising Summit 2019. Members should register as soon as possible so that we can make catering and accommodation arrangements.
The summit will be an all day event held on Saturday October 26th from 11am-5pm, with an evening social.
The venue is Reading International Solidarity Centre, 35-39 London Road, Reading, RG1 4PS
This year’s summit sees a change from the format of recent years and will focus on starting to develop a coherent, union-wide organising strategy. We have invited guests from other radical unions in Europe and North America. There will be discussion of our current main organising campaigns and what lessons can be learnt. Finally we will discuss how we can set and implement effective goals, strategy and tactics for the IWW.
The Organising Summit is one of the major events in the IWW calendar and we’d like as many members as possible to attend and make it a big success. Your branch should be able to support with transport costs. Food will be provided on the day as well as accommodation for anyone who needs to stay overnight.
If you are interested in attending this exciting event please register early. If you do not register by October 12th we cannot guarantee accommodation for you.
All current members will have received an email on Saturday October 3rd which includes a link to the online registration form and fuller details of the day’s programme.
If you didn’t get the email, would like further information or have any questions, please email Pete Davies summit [at] iww [dot] org [dot] uk
