The IWW is running workplace representative training in Manchester this October to help members build the skills and confidence to support fellow workers and take on the boss.
A strong union is not built by relying on officials. It is built by workers who know their rights, understand how to organise and are prepared to stand alongside their workmates when problems arise.
That is why developing workplace representatives is an important part of building a fighting union.
The training will help members develop the practical skills needed to represent fellow workers, challenge management and turn individual workplace problems into opportunities for collective organisation.
It combines a short online course with an in-person training day in Manchester on Saturday 3 October 2026.
Members should complete the online course before attending the training day.
