4th May 2012 – We the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) stand in Solidarity with Laura Gomez, the General Secretary of the CGT-Barcelona and condemn the trumped up charges against her made by the state and their puppets the Mossos d’Esquadra.
We insist on an end to the current wave of repression and intimidation made against the growing Workers movement in Spain which is gaining moment every day.
As a world wide Union the IWW will be offering its full support to the CGT in its aim to achieve the liberation of of our comrade Laura Gomez and all Workers involved in the current fight against capitalist crimes that threaten us all.
The employing class and the Working class have nothing in common and we will be fighting any politicians or their minions who wish to create any authoritarian, dictatorial or fascist state which tries to hold our rights to freedom and true democracy in check.
We fully support Workers world wide who are involved in a daily struggle against the negotiation of labour reform, the social pact, the decline in working and social conditions, the increase in injustice (laws for the rich made by the rich) and the enormous differences between rich and poor caused by the greed of the capitalist system.
We insist on the immediate release of Laura Gomez and all other Workers who are currently being held by the state, with all charges against them dropped and no further intimidation shown towards them.
