1st May 2012 – This is a letter of protest at the lockout of Workers at the UK subsidiary of Austrian multi-national packaging company Mayr-Meinhof on Feb 18th in Liverpool.

Its going out to the chairman Wilhem Hormanseder.
The Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) are writing to you to express our Solidarity with the locked out Workers of Feb 18th in Liverpool at your UK subsidiary of Mayr Meinhof Packaging Ltd (MMP) and our anger at the employers of said companies blatant breach of European employment law.
We insist you stop these violations of accepted ILO standards, return to the negotiating table to commence good faith negotiations and stop the proposed illegal closure of the Liverpool factory, a direct attack on the Working classes.
We will be offering our full support in any way we can to our colleagues , the MMP Workers to ensure Workers rights are not abused by neo-liberal capitalist corporations such as yourselves untill Workers are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

International Solidarity Liasion Officer
