Who We Are

East Midlands & Eastern IWW serves Nottingham, Derby, Peterborough, Lincoln, Norwich, and the surrounding areas

Representation

East Midlands & Eastern IWW is in the process of getting reps to advise, support and represent members. If anyone currently requires these services please get in touch as we can usually source them from outside the area.

We have an active membership and regularly attend protests, campaigns and actions.

We also collaborate with the TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Workers’ Union to support workers in language and private education schools and colleges.

You can contact us at: eastmids [at] iww [dot] org [dot] uk

Meetings

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month between 7 PM and 9 PM. Our meetings are held on zoom and the link is provided via email and on our forum page (must be a member to access). As our members come from a wide area, in person meetings of the full branch are difficult to organise but we are open to holding smaller, local, get togethers.

As a branch, we meet regularly to discuss campaigns and casework so details are sent to members by email.

Because of the wide area we cover, all our meetings are online, so joining links are emailed to members.

So that our spaces remain radical, all IWW meetings and events are safe spaces.

If you like the sound of us then please join.

Organising and Campaigning

We are a union for all workers in all industries. This includes students, zero hour workers and migrant workers. We also support health and social care workers, and hospitality workers.

We are always looking to build relationships with other radical organisations throughout the East Midlands & the East, so if you are a member of any of these and wish to talk to us about joint action, please do!
