Northamptonshire & Warwickshire Group

Northamptonshire & Warwickshire Group

The Northamptonshire and Warwickshire group is currently active around the numerous goods warehouses in those two cities, something that seems to be expanding in the area.   Part of why it is expanding is the power which owners are able to wield over workers’ hours, pay and conditions. We are especially concerned about workplace bullying, poor health and safety and the manipulation of workers by precarious agency shifts and Zero-hours agreements. This can be seen in a recently won IWW case in which a worker injured at work was discriminated against and dismissed by the very workplace that had left her permanently disabled (IWW Wins Case Against Wincanton) !!   Northamptonshire and Warwickshire IWW Group offers warehouse workers the  opportunity to organise their own workplace union branches, get recognised  union status with their employers, and to take back control at work.   Warehouse workers and others working in the geographical area of Milton Keynes and Northampton are encouraged to get in contact.   MEETINGS Meetings are informal and members get together around specific campaigning activities. Contact…
